Fairy Queen Recital

Join singers, pianists and friends of Angel Music Studios for an inspiring rendition of selections from Henry Purcell's "The Fairy Queen." First performed in 1692 as an adaption from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1596), the semi-opera was lost until the beginning of the 20th century. It has enjoyed a rival since then, and focuses on the woodland fairies that provide the backdrop for the mixed up lovers in Shakespeare's original play.

The venue is the Cloverdale Canadian Reformed Church at 17473 60 Avenue in Surrey. It starts at 7:30pm and will last for about an hour. Admission is free or by donation.
